Windows Genuine Advantage Notfication - Stopping Reminders
Solution
I discribe how this gets on your machine, what it means, and how to remove it.
Windows Genuine Advantage Notifcation was written my Microsoft, and is sent to computers as a Microsoft Windows update, expressly called Genuine Advantage Notification. You can simply choose not to download this update. The purpose of the program is to detect when the computer was installed using a knowned pirated licence key.
If you have a Windows Genuine Certificate of Authority, normally a green/blue and sliver/white label attached to your pc or on the packet containing your windows CD, then you do have a licence. You can correct the problem by downloading the windows product key update tool using the link below, checking that the licence you have matches the product you are using

If you don't have a Windows Genuine Certificate of Authority, which will be most of you, you can't demonstrate you have any legal right to use Microsoft windows, and are therefor commiting an offence, see Microsofts what microsoft has to say.

**** DISABLING ****
To disable the messages without providing your licence key, assuming you do actually have one, you can goto c:\windows\system32 folder and rename the files WgaTray.exe and WgaLogon.dll to WgaTrayOld.exe and WgaLogonOld.dll respectively.
